ANTERO RES., 12-2-10
« on: Dec 02, 2010, 01:02 PM »
Went out to Antero Res. this morning and gave it my all for 3 hours. Didn't even have a bite. About 40 anglers out there. Heard and seen a few caught, but looked slow for everyone. People kept moving around. I tried 3 different spots by the dam. Seen one spawned out kokanee salmon swim by. Tried all sorts of jigs. Tried wax worms, Powerbait, and nightcrawlers. Ice was 9-10 inches thick. Going again tommorrow to Antero or Tarryall.

EDB,

Where were you fishing?  South shore with that many anglers?

I had good luck near the north end of the dam on Monday, setting up on the choppy ice.  It's a bit of a walk but it was worth it.

You are so lucky to be able to get out there so often.

I was out towards the middle of the dam. Area we did good at last year. Most the anglers by the South shore were in the boat ramp bay or right off shore. Going to Tarryall tommorrow morning.

Went out to Antero on the 3rd and about got blown clear off the lake. The fishing sucked, didn"t even see one fish. Should have went to Tarryall! :-\
