i'm in the process of building a little shelve system for the middle of the clam 2k also.
Chance is always powerful. Let your hook be always cast in the pool where you least expect it, there will be a fish.

Here's some pics in the shanty. Nothing special but it gets the job done. Should of made it longer so I could put some beverage holders in it ;D

That's awesome. Great idea.

You must have been reading my mind, I was out in my Clam 2000 last weekend and I thought I need to build some kind shelf/stool for my flasher or lantern. The hinge location just causes some wasted space especially if two people are using the shelter.

WMWW,
Nicely done!!!  I too have a Clam 2000 and run into the same problem.  Is it possible you could list the dimensions of your little box.  I would like to replicate something like it.

Thanks,

Are you going to set the lantern on top? You may want a lantern box like this with the bottom made to the same shape.

Would save you on the burnt coats and lines.

Do you have more pics of that lantern box?  That is pretty cool.

Edit to answer my own question and follow some of my own advice.....used the search function....

Hope you guys can read this. We made it to fit my lantern bottom but kind of wish I made longer so I could put other stuff on it. Just make sure you slide it back from the material if its windy at all.

I like the mod for the lantern. I have done a mod to my 2000 that you might be interested in. I put a luaun floor in mine because I hated the ridged plastic.
Here's a pic of the floor. I'm going to do something similar to your lantern stand for my Coleman heater.

And one taken before I fastened the other piece of carpet down.
