I was in my local CT in St. Marys today & all I seen that was new was some HT icefishing gloves. The only other thing I seen was some Williams icefishing spoons. But they have been on the board all year.

Wasaga Beach store is all stocked up with the regular over priced useless crap they always sell. Must say they do have some nice jigs on the wall though. makes for good browsing but the prices are wacked.

Well today was the day, bought my power auger at local CDN Tire in Kingston.  Eskimo Z51 Shark.  They were just clearing off some shelving to get out the ice fishing stock, so it might be a couple of days yet befor the shelves are fully stocked.  But I got my auger, now what else do I need,  maybe a bigger sley to haul it around
Come on ice.

I made a 3 store tour yesterday..

Canadian Tire Kingston - Shelves are bare... but should be filled any day now

Quinte Outdoor Sports Belleville - Shelves are bare, there is a box on teh floor that "you can root through if you want"

Gagnons Oshawa - there is a lot a gear out, but they are still waiting on more. The standards are in place but not much new stuff

Bracebridge and huntsville are full, even new displays,  as well as walmart.  there is a newer hunting fishing store that opened in huntsville(Late Spring) called trappers,  not sure about there ice fishing gear though.

I hope you have other options besides Canadian Tire.   Their prices are outrageous.  They need to at least price match Wal Mart or something.   I'd order online from Le Barons or the states before I paid what they are asking for gear if I didn't have other options already.  Although, I have picked up some odd stuff in the past that looks like it's been on the shelf for 25 years for nostalgia.   I also can't resist looking through the section every time I am there.  Sometimes they have stuff on clearance.

Anyway, the store closest to me (in Toronto) has their section up.  Pretty standard stuff, but that's expected for being in Toronto.  I went to a location downtown Toronto today and they had no ice fishing gear whatsoever.

Reminds me, the other day I was looking in the fishing section and noticed that someone must have pulled a fast one on the store.   There were two Live Target Smelt lure boxes (they go for $12-$15 each) that had some cheap plastic worm inside them.   I think someone bought it, switched the contents and returned them.
