I'm sure that it is at least 3-4" now. Tuesday at 15:00 it was 1.5 and i was standing on it. I will be making a tour around the Buffalo area hitting multiple ponds and will hit Healy and report an exact thickness. The season is here to stay!

I checked yesterday around 3pm. In 2' ofw by the power plant it was 2". In 4' ofw it was only 1" and getting soft and sketchy. By the boat ramp in 2' ofw it was 1.5". It'll need a couple of days yet. Heritage pond was less than an inch. I'm going to check out tyhack tomorrow.

Friend of mine fished there to day and said that there was about 5 inches of ice about 50 yards from the boat ramp
If you are going to cry be quick about it. Then get back to fishing.

Well RR it depends on where you are at! I fished it today and there is no 5in of ice maybe 4 in some areas and 3 in others probably need to be real carefull where you are walking or a cold bath is sure to come. I seen some guy fishing next to a pressure ridge. Braver than I am. but it is fishable

Arrived just before sunrise and picked of a few perch with a Hali tipped with Gulp the dropped a Chubby Darter down the hole and was nailed hard a few times. Winds were gusting close to 55 mph according to the radio and I was getting blown all over the ice. Tried to fish outside the flip but the wind was too hard and stuff was getting blown across the smooth ice. That being said, the Ice Armor gear was outstanding! Had my vex and bucket not been blown off whenever I set them down, I'd have fished w/o the flip very comfortably. Impressed with the Ice Armor. Not impressed with the flip turning into a sail boat this morning. Even when down the sled was catching enough wind to send it skittering if I wasn't standing on the rope. Not enough hands to hang on to everything so I left...   >:(

Glad you got into some perch. I had been debating getting a flip over all summer, and i havnt yet for that reason. Im afraid that with the constant threat of wind insanity here in good ol WYO itll get torn, blown away, etc.  I picked up some of those Hali's and am excited to try em out on the local perch down here. Cheers.

Looked to be 4.5"-5" or so +/-. I felt comfortable walking on it. I'd run up again tomorrow but think I'll be called to work sometime in the late AM.

Perch are scattered across Healy. Had some fun in 30fow when the vex marked fish about 6' below the ice. Darter took two rainbows! Small rainbow jigging raps, darters and forage minnows tipped with pink Berkley maggots took quite a few perch. Four different times perch came in at 6'-8' over 30fow and I was able to sight fish and a number of times I saw trout swimming underneath the ice as they passed under my flip.

Talked to one fellow who said he caught a splake in 6fow and saw tons of perch. Just a tad finicky today though.
