I used Fluroice for a while, I have always used Fluroclear & CX Premium for open water.  Switched over to just using Fluroclear & CX on the ice last season & I haven't seen any diffrence, except that it's a whole lot cheaper.  You can get 1000 yards for CX preimum 2lb test for $13, it's a fluro coated polymer, works great inside the shack & outside the shack.
Reguardless of which model you go with, if it's P-Line you really can't go wrong.

i figured there wasn't much different between the two...
however, i did just notice that the diameters of equal pound floroice and floroclear are off: 2lb ice = .11mm, whereas 2lb clear = .13mm
-so there must be something that differentiates the two, only it must not be noticeable...

as far as where to buy it, i found the stuff at a local store, and online it's all over the place.  try a google "shopping" search for a starting point. http://www.google.com/products?hl=en&q=p-line+floroice&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wf

I have been using 2lb and 4lb Fluroclear for years on the ice and it works great. The diameter of the 2lb. is plenty thin. I'm not into spending $5 for 100yds of line when I can get pretty much the same thing for $8 per 300 yds.

I've been using 2 to 10 # floroclear for about five years now, the knot strength/abrasion is the best of the fluoro's I've tried, along with a great cost.  Never tried florice but really don't feel the need to.

I use P-line Spectra Braid for both fresh and salt, 10-15 lb. fresh and 20-30lb. in salt.
I get it at Bass Pro. the should have P-line products available thru their website.

I also have been using 2-4# floroclear for a few seasons with good results. I like pre rigging a bunch of jigging rods at home; it can be tough to see the line on the ice sometimes. (maybe I'm just old!) As stated above, good knot strength, and cheaper than most (If not all) P-line fluorocarbons. I usually get the larger spools at Cabela's.
