Vexilar Bib questions
« on: Oct 20, 2010, 07:56 PM »
I am looking for a new pair of bibs to replace my Carhartt sponge bibs. Scheels has Vexilar bibs for $104 a pair.

My question is about durability. How well do these hold up compared to the Ice Armor bibs.

I bought a Vexilar suit last year.  I've only worn it twice but it seems like a quality garment and appears very well built.  I have high hopes it will last for a long time but I'll have to wait and see.

I had both the blue Ice Armor and Vexilar suits.  I sold my Ice Armor.  In my opinion the Vex bibs are more comfortable and a little warmer and you still have the padded knees.  Material seems just as durable as the Ice Armor.  I think the Vex bibs are a little more softer too.  Seems pretty waterproof to me, but I've only used them one season.  Also, the black isn't going to show dirt like the Ice Armor.  I'm very happy with them.  Don't get me wrong, I really liked my Ice Armor too, just like the Vexilar stuff a little better.
If I'm not at work I'm on the ice or in the woods!

I think I am going to get the Vexilar bibs. After trying them on I like them the best. I am not willing to pay $160 for a pair of artic armor bibs.
