Hey Fins,  Can you please provide a follow up post on how you like them?  I am debating between the suit you bought and the Clam corp IceArmor Extreme.  Both look pretty good.  I have friends that have the Clam product, blues and gray but don't know anyone that has the other brand.  It is not sold locally either so I can only read about it on line.  Thanks!

I made out for the first time with my new suit. I was up on houghton lake with 15-20 mph winds. we were out for 5 hours with no shanty. This suit is very warm and light, but when i took the suit off i found the inside of my bibs were wet and the back of my jeans were a little damp? I was wearing medium weight thermals under my jeans. I was very happy with the warmth. Not to sure as to why I was I little wet. maybe day 2 will be different.

Get yourself some UnderArmor Base layer. The base layer makes what you have just much better, by wicking any sweat away from your skin. Drilling holes, walking or whatever can work up a sweat and when this moisture cools down with cotton it just becomes a cold wet rag. The UnderArmor also holds your body heat next to your skin so you don't need a lot of heavy layers to keep warm. I find I use my zipper like a thermostat. down to cool, up to warm.

Carhartt Arctic Extremes are great and a little less $. Been using them for years and never wet or cold. I personally like the hooded jacket over the coat w/ hood. Less bulk and still stay warm.

This is a signature flaw with Arctic Armor. For whatever reason they simply do not breathe properly. I know a couple people who bought the AA now, and ditched it for various reasons.

Your going to want to wear some sort of whicking base layer ..no jeans! (Cotton kills) I have had the same problem wearing jeans!  One of the draw backs about the AA suit is it is not as breathable as advertised!  I have been using it for 2 seasons and at times I have taken the jacket off and it will get a layer of frost from my body moisture...

But now I wear polypropes upper and lower then a wool second layer on top and the jacket still holds moisture but I never have been cold.. Same with the bibs...

I noticed the same thing with my AA jacket. It is extremely warm, the float idea is great but it does not breathe.
I take mine off when drilling holes, setting up etc....otherwise I'd be a wet mess. Zip pits or something like that would be nice for ventilation.

Jacket sizing was difficult too. I had to send it back 2 times to get the right size.

Disappointing really. I'm looking for another jacket now.

Thanks for putting up your review,

JIGGIN.
