Here in NH we have had TWO cold night and days in the low 30's. Right now it is 28.  We have had one pond freeze over in the last two days!  We just need more cold!

Come, oh gods of ice, and bless us with your breath.
Freeze our waters once again, and ignore those who would have it warm.
Let us walk on water and reap the bounty.

Ah 15 degrees f here in colorado right now. High supposed to get up to 32 degrees f for the first time in well over a week. First trip of icefishing season for me tomorrow :) I pity you guys that don't have it :'(
if anybody from michigan will help me out with the lakes and stuff up here I'd really appreciate it since I'm new to the area.

I am starting to believe that if this global warming or whatever is happening continues we will have to move to the Arctic Circle to continue our sport. Either that or  the Gods of Snow and Ice are laid up at some Florida beach for the winter? :'(
Good thing about prisons- they reduce the potential number of fisherman on the ice!

The water on my pool cover has a skin of ice on it, but that's the only ice I've seen in central NY.  It's supposed to be in the 50's tomorrow.  Will it never end!!!
Fish may be stupid but I've never seen a perch sitting in a boat with a second degree sun burn trying to catch a man.

The ice gods have answered my prayer. I will be ice fishing in western Colorado on Tuesday. Most of the lakes on the western slope have at least one inch of ice. By Tuesday Vega will have a good 4 to 5 inches of safe ice. Not to mention the grand mesa has over 300 lakes  and I am sure by now they all have at least 6 inches of ice, most of the lakes are just to hard to get to in the winter. Good luck with the cold weather and ice everyone !!!

I put out some shiner traps out today (in western Mass),and there was almost an inch of ice on the beaver pond.I'm looking for 1 more good haul before there is to much ice and I cant get my traps out.

getting 1/4 inch of rain here in mi today, feels like spring.  almost a blessing, as we just missed our first major blizzard.  i think well be fishing in 2-3 weeks if the weather channel is correct  :o
