west hawk lakers info

Just wondering if anyone could tell me if i could still walk on to peanut island this saturday and also, what is the bait of choice on this lake going for lake trout?

was out last saturday  ice was good walked on .there were people driving on so i would asume that there wasnt much melt this
 week.did pretty good 3 guys 7 lakers biggest was 26inch.was using white tubes with sucker bellys and large salted shinners.was catching in 40to 50 feet over 90 feet of water.marked lots looking. the ones we did catch were racing in and hammering it.

last saturday you needed skates  no snow no sluch just glare ice so it should be the same this weekend
