« on: Feb 06, 2010, 11:02 AM »
Anyone been fishing the Cheyenne Arm of Lake Oahe?  Looking to do some walleye fishing there in the next couple of weeks.  Looking to drive into the pump house area and take snowmobiles out from there.  wondering about the ice conditions and posssibly the fishing.  Thanks!

My dad and I are heading out next week as well. As of last week the ice was still very good and some big catfish were being caught. I didnt get to talk to the reporter directly so I dont know where exactly they were fishing and how the walleyes were. Maybe I will see you out there

We are going to the pump house and go from there.  Thanks for letting me know of the ice conditions.  Ya maybe we will see you there.  Going to some spots I fish in the boat.

Just got back from two days of fishing. It was HORRIBLE! We only caught 4 4pound catfish an a tiny perch. We tried several spots, several baits and all depths and could not pick up a walleye. It was foggy and cold. The ice was a good 16 inches with some drifted snow in spots. One good warm day and the road getting in there is going to be a sloppy mess.
