Not working for 2.5 years because of a bad back is taking it's effect on my bank roll...but hey,my fishing skills are much better :}

I might go to long on sunday but dont know fore sure. Just thinking about it. Gonna be warm but I hate wind. -10 no wind not bad, +5 15 km wind might be nasty.

I think I'm gonna stay within about 1/2hour of home. Maybe Wab, Isle, or Devils lake. Want some big pike action.

Gotta watch hockey game tomorrow. GO CANADA!!!!

Fished long Lake a couple times this winter, did o.k.  There are so many better lakes in this area.  Had a buddy go to Gull Lake said it was busy.  Lots of fish on the ice, same with Sylvan Lake.  Staying away from those ones on the weekend, I don't like alot of people where I like to fish.  Might try Carson Lake in the morning for some Rainbows then to Romeo Lake for a Perch Ho-Down!  Good Luck Ya'll this weekend!

A bunch of us ended up at gull and it was OK. I caught my limit but it took all day. Wire worm and loaded with maggots seemed to be the ticket. Lots of ski dooers and ATV guys bombing around all the people who pay to fish. That sure is annoying. Why cant they just go away where people are not fishing. Little girl came close to getting hit yesterday.

Any color of wire worm in particular that the whites were hitting?
Just curious, I have always used brass, copper, or a red one and my luck varies.

It can get pretty hectic on the lakes in winter with all the ATV's and Snowmobiles.

I was using a yellow patern. It had a red stripe on it and use it horizontal. Seemed to work ok but like I said it took all day. Didnt see many

Sounds like I'm going to have a great time..

I always present the wireworm horizontal but rarely use maggots.

When i head out I'm going to try my luck for anything, and take a few pics of the catch.
