The guy who runs it is really nice.  He actually donated a couple of tip ups for door prizes to the Paradise Club Derby.  He has bait and opens at 6.  I'm not sure about his prices, I been in there a few time but only really went there for bait.  It offers another good convenient option for guys in the newton area.

I've heard good things.  Really nice guy.  Bait prices are reasonable.

I was in there tonight as well.  Picked up bait and a nice little jigging rod.  I was just stopping in--kinda in a hurry--and ended up chatting for 45 minutes.  He's been real supportive of paradise club since he's opened.  He knows that if guys are fishing in the area and are successful they'll be back and that can't be bad for business.  We were talking about all of the sport shops that have been around the area and are now gone.  He was joking that he hoped this wouldn't be the case for him.  We'll see, it's a tough business.

Ok, I know we aren't suposed to advertise here, but this shop DID give me a cool tip up to go along at the 2nd Jersey gathering. He didn't know me nor me him and just asking and telling him it was for an ICE SHANTY gathering, no more questions asked, he offered!! I sent this info to Lonewolf last night, but think it was a tad late.

Skylands Sport Shop
105 Water Street
Newton NJ  07860

PM me for phone and/or e-mail

Nice shop and a better than average section of ice gear.

Joe
