n you want to look for dropoffs, weedlines, etc. I use smelt with swetish hooks a ft to 18in off bottom. pike will feed all day but the best times are morning, and a hour before dark atleaset in my neck of the woods. I usually fish in 14-25fow. and always fish on the edge of a dropoff. Hope that helps goodluck

Do what warwin says. What might also help is to look at the shore line. If it looks like there might be a point or a drop off etc.. Sometimes the structure is similar to the shore line. Dead shiners will get the biggest pike. Gotta wait for the big ones.

I would start and find a good weed bed 2 to 4 feet off bottom dont be affraid to go shallow 5 - 8feet of water
