Went out this morning after pondering whether my season was over. Doc gave me some happy medicine so being the hardcore dedicated super fisherman I am went to LSC and thats right folks on purpose without an auger. My back is still way blown out I figured hey When I get there I will ask a guy with a gas to drill me 2 holes, and thank you sir whoever you are you did and were happy to do it, Thank You.
After that I fished all day from 3 feet to 11 feet. I was able to move by simply hole jumping from already cut hole to already cut hole and didn't drill a single hole that day. Very happy back for that.
Ended up with 40 And not one was under 8, ok well maybe 7/3/4 great day. They are all over the place no particular pattern other then they wanted full minnows not spikes. I tried spikes up and down. They wanted you to jig a little bit then deadstick it. And BTW perch are blind as a bat. Water is kinda murky so something flashy helps. Especially those teardrop jigs with the chrome blades on them and the go to lure ficious jig. 10+ inches of great ice. Some snow down on the ice about 4 to 6 inches so be ready to work out.
