Ice Fishing for Lakers in NY Finger Lakes Region

From Canadice Lake yesterday with my 10 year old son. 

My son and I tried to fish for Lake Trout for the first time ever through the ice yesterday on  . My 10 year old son iced a 17" (his first ever) and a nice 29" Lake Trout all by himself.  I iced a 27" (my first through the ice) and a very nice 32" Lake trout.  In addition, I caught a 14" incher while picking up that was just an inch short and went back down the hole.  Lots of fun.  A very nice day for us first timers for trout!
