The Burwell Legion Calamus Ice fishing tournament will be held on February 6, 2010 from 8:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. weather and ice permitting.
2 person teams-$40.00 per team.
Social Hour and Calcutta on Friday February 5th at the Burwell Legion Club beginning at 6 P.M.

In the past you were allowed tip ups. My father and I are entered. Sounds like its going to be pretty mild, should be a good time.

How is the ice fishing on calamus?  I went to that lake open water a few years back with my brother and we did well on the eyes.  I live in NE iowa and make it back home occasionally but would like to get my brother and dad more into hardwater fishing!

How thick is the ice up there?

Ice is 18 to 20 inches thick as of last weekend.  I'm helping with the weigh in so I'll tell you how things went.
