Wallum Lake bite is on!!!
« on: Feb 16, 2010, 10:33 AM »
Went to Wallum Lake and it was on fire, went through 4 dz shiners and landed some really nice fish. here is a picture of the Salmon I landed at the end of the day. Sorry about the disguise and the blocking out  the shoreline but people know where I set up and if I didn't do it I would have 50 people set up there this weekend.

Nice catch and thanks for confirming my initial suspicion that your image had been altered.

Nice fish Jigger....I have fished Wallum more times this year than I care to admit (over 20) and have placed tilts in virtually every area on both sides of lake with zero results.  I love the place and don't mind the cold windy days...but man would it be great to catch a few nice fish like that for the grill!!!  Kudos to you and and your success!

4 dozen shiners at Wallum Lake???  Hope you all understand if I'm somewhat suspicious. Fished there Monday with zero flags. I don't know if I've used a total of 4 dz. there in my entire life.

Hey Elevatorman, did I fish with you that day?

Just because you didnt get a flagg doesnt mean other people don't..Where did you fish? I was there Monday. If you really fish hard and know Wallum then I will give you a clue where I was,I was fishing next to rocky point.

Sorry, MASSANGLER, didn't mean to upset you. I've fished Wallum for 40 or so years and have caught some decent fish and have had some days with moderate activity. But I've never had a 4 dozen day nor have I witnessed anyone else having one. Maybe because I'm targeting trout ?? I dunno, the lake just isn't known for a lot of action. And when you disguise yourself and alter pictures, it's just kinda, you know, suspicious. But if you did have a great day there, then I must congratulate you.

The only way you would ever use 4dz shiners on Wallum is if you tripped and spilled your bait all over the ice. Or
you might use that many if the Mass Wildlife stocking truck backed up and dumped in 3 thousand trout, then maybe.
