Im sure the ice is there, but your gunna need a 50 foot ladder to get to it.  The river is high, dirty, and on the rise  :o

It's going to be a couple of weeks I'm afraid... The river is coming up about 12 feet above normal, there will be a road block on the street leading to the cove...

Just took a break from the shop to check on the cove. There were guys set up where I checked yesterday. The river has dropped another 3 feet since I checked yesterday. Access is limited, but once you're on there is plenty of good ice. There is open water where the channel comes in and also in the back where the creek feeds the cove. The area by the parking lot is still open water. Your best bet is to get on in the south east corner near the barn. You can walk right on there with no issues. DO NOT park on the side street (Hanmer Rd) you will get a ticket there. It shouldn't be an issue to drop your gear off there and then move your vehicle to the cove parking lot
