Muskegon Lake ice NOT SAFE
« on: Jan 26, 2010, 04:44 PM »
The Muskegon police department stated at least 3 separate incidents of people falling thru the ice on Muskegon Lake since Saturday. They went as far as going on the ice (wearing flotation suits) warning all of the fisherman the ice is not safe. There was a ship that went thru the lake, breaking a channel down the middle of the lake and effectively destroying the rest of the thin, weak ice with the wake they created. The last guy was "checking the ice" on his 4 wheeler. You just can't fix stupid. No doubt there will be more reports.... :-[
