is marshfield dam still a dump?

its the closest waterbody to me and would lose my mind to have a great fishing spot that close to home.only problem is it has sucked there for ages......and oh yeah NOBODY ICEFISHES THERE. didn't know if any of you guys have been there recently and maybe conditions have changed.and is waterbury still sucking out? i been skunked there and a few other guys posted skunks from there, didnt know if it started heating up yet

I hit it once last year. Had to snowshoe in from the parking lot, real hard going. Got nothing but dink perch and a few dink pickerel. There was one other guy out there that day and he wasn't doing well either. Have you been up the hill to Peacham? Alot better there IMHO. Haven't even been by Marshfield yet this year. yeah peacham is same, pulled in some smelt there and few dink perch.wasnt worth the gas to get there

Have you been up to Joes Pond yet? I've never ice fished it but have hit it in spring and summer and usually did OK. I've heard rumors over the years that theres crappie in there but never tied into any. Have taken SMB and RBT out of there and my book says theres Browns and Lakers in there as well. Plus I think I have a depth chart for it somewheres. Might just head up there for this Saturday.

Marshfield is nice fishery. I consistently catch modest sized
small mouths and occasional northern during the summer.
It is stocked rainbows and browns which probably make
good gator chow.
