clam fabric
« on: Jan 16, 2010, 07:32 AM »
I have a Clam icehut that was stored closed for two years.  The fabric is very wrinkled, but seems ok.  Is there any suggested maintenance to do to Clam shanty fabric?  Thanks  GW

I have washed mine every spring with laundry detergent and the garden hose and then let it dry in the fully set up position.

Then I use Camp Dry to treat the fabric for water resistance.

Just take it out and use it... It may take a day or two to get the wrinkles out but you should be ok for the rest of this ice season... if you are fishing in the rain/snow alot you can treat the out/in side with camp dry.
