Who expects to be on the ice next weekend?

Everyone seems to be saying goodbye  I'm hoping there is safe ice in the far north next weekend.  What are the last lakes to go?

I plan to hit the lakes this coming week.  If it rains hard some lakes that have good size streams feeding them will deteriate fast.

Well, up just below the NY border, the rain turned into freezing rain, and its much much colder....we didn't get nearly as much rain as expected, so I have to believe that we may have at least one more weekend....

Shantysitter, I plan to try Pecks off the 402 launch monday evening and then I am not sure.  Most likly white deer and shohola, Sometimes shohola gos bad fast due to a lot of high water running in.  White deer and Pecks will hold up.  If Pecks starts pruducing I will just say with it.  May be I will meet up with you at pecks monday evening.

My last day 03-04, ice went from 14" in one spot to just 5" only 100feet away.

That was enough for me to call it a year and pack my ice gear away.

Captain I don't know what river you are fishing, but if it's anything like the rivers around here the only fishing you are gonna be doing is from a boat.

By where he's from I'm guessing somewhere on the Hudson in upstate NY     If you knew where to go the Delaware River, it still had good ice until the rain last week
