HT accucast reels
« on: Nov 19, 2009, 12:52 PM »
Does anyone have any experience with these?  They are the UL reels that have the spool angled up toward the first eyelet.  They come in three models.  A 2 bb, a 4bb, and a 6 bb.  The price is very reasonable.  I am a little leary of them, as I am all HT equipment, and wanted an opinion or two before purchasing.  Thanks in advance.

I bought two tiny ice rods with reels, both HT's and the reels were pretty much foreign junk, lasted two times out, both became loose and failed to function. Junk.

yep I have one (got it as a combo) on a HT ultralight. The concept is good with the angle but the reel is pretty much a plastic piece of crap. I plan on using it until it breaks and then replacing it with something better.
