Melville 1-12-10
« on: Jan 12, 2010, 04:47 PM »
Hey havent seen anyone post about any ponds/lakes in this area.  Ive hit melville for the past three days.  I managed a few nice large mouths a monster perch a trout and a crappie.  I was suprised at how slow the bite was.  The northern part of the pond had about 6" and the southend of the pond averaged 8" of solid ice.  I caught most of my fish jigging.  f

Tight lines!

Jim

i used a rapala airplane which was gold and black in color and jigged it slowly pausing for a few seconds inbetween which is when i had the most hits.  I tried a more aggressive approach with no time inbetween and did not have good results.
