Early season results around Wisc.
« on: Dec 19, 2009, 03:21 PM »
Now that we're going into our second week of good ice, I was wondering if anyone has seen good early season results and where.
I fish Pine Lake in Baldwin and have hit the crappies hard in the early morning. Some success with smaller northerns on tipups.

How bout you guys?

I hit the wide spread in New RIchmond on Friday. Did good on the bluegills. Couldn't keep my jigs away from the bass either. It was quite fun.

Fished Hartman's creek (near Waupaca) yesterday.
5" of ice, 2" of crappy ice on top.

had fun with the Automatic fisherman for pike. (lost a big one at the hole due to line breakage)
and caught a 20" Largemouth jigging a rattle spoon.

Did ok on crappies by Yellow Lake in Burnett County...caught 15 that were over 10 inches and caught a total of around 50, most were 8-9 inches.

If I'm not fishing or hunting right now, you can bet that I\'m thinking about it!
