You're better off with a minnow/shiner on a 1/4oz or 1/8oz jig - unless I've missed something over many many years, mealworms aren't a preferred bait for Wallys.  If bait isn't getting attention, try a jigging rap or spoon.

If you cant catch 20 walleye in a day on pigeon lake...you are doing something wrong.   ;DIm sure you could fill your tags using anything you like!  Good luck!

50+ on summer days, good quality shiney minnows and a special hook (can't remember the name) and a sliding sinker above swivel.

lol sounds like a plan....although I have had a 20 inch pike on a half a mealworm on a #12 hook ::)!!! I got the smaller size walleye tags, so not too big..... though make a nice quick pic b4 release.

I think I may give it a go next week once the fishing craze there has died down a bit. happy fishing out there, I think I'll head to a less popular lake today or tomorrow, the weathers just too nice.

something like that as far as the weight goes, but the hook is a weird one, I tossed the boxes so no clue what brand or style name is.
