Would any one know what the name of the Sonar / Flasher they used on the In-Fishermen Show?Looks like it has an LCD screen.

its called a "showdown" many threads on the site bashing how bad they are compared to a vex or marcum.

I plan on buying one after the new year tho....i am a nonconformist!

In my opinion get a lawrance x67c.  Best thing out there!  you get a realtime fishfinder and a flasher all in 1 !!!

I just got a Showdown after looking at all the flashers and stuff.  It cost a little less than conventional flashers.  I tried it out today in the swamp behind my house and found out that they drained the lake a lot as there is only 3 feet of water in the channel!  I will have to go fishing before I can give any more opinions on it and I have never used a flasher so I am already one sided.

didnt have much money to spend after getting new auger new clam yukon and a bunch of beaverdam tipups (my wife went crazy) so my son and i got a humminbird ice 35 so simple to use has a demo mode so you can play with it in your livingroom used it for the first time a couple days ago and it was awesome caught a bunch of bluegill and crappie was having so much fun forgot i had some tipups out.

Its a HDS-5X Sonar  that I use from the boat. The flasher seems so confussing watching all the light moving

x2 - adds so much more to my fishing trips.  can hook it up to my crawdad in the summer for a full featured fish finder too.  worth every penny!!!!!
