LOOKING TO LAND FIRST PIKE

Hello,
         Im new to this site and have read some very good post on fishing in ct, i live in eastern
         ct and i looking to catch my first northern pike can some body plaese give me some info
         to ice my first pike.

Pachaug, Mansfield, Quaddick, and the CT river coves are all good spots. Try big golden shiners and step on the before you throw them down the hole. Try 4-12' of water and put the bait near the bottom. Use wire leaders or at least 50 lb floro

I know some guys that catch pike out of quaddick every year, im pretty sure they fish not too far from the state beach

Sax i did not know that pachaug had pike and i fished there a half dozen times there this past summer, wish i had known.
