I guess I am in the minority here but the vex is last on my list of mandatory equipment.  Beer, Deer, and my rubber mittens top my list.

My small orange depth finder. The clip things to your line at the bait shops for a dollar. I have had mine since I started ice fishing and if I lost it I would flip. Very important to me to get the bait down and find the depth!

That's a good one too.  Caught our best fish last year on orange sounders, seriously.

I cracked up on this one....then I realized you were signing your handle.  Weiner....I usually consider it my must have piece of equipment too.

I don't know about you, but mine does not detach.  So it's not something I can forget and leave at home.
It's OEM  (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and I'm not going through the pain of an upgrade. ;D

Also,  I don't use mine for ice fishing,  but I do occasionally write in the snow.

A really good pair of boots.  As long as my toes stay warm I'm good to go.

If its cold and nasty I won't go out without my portable shanty followed very closely by my Lowrance and buddy heater. If its nice and sunny without any wind, my Lowrance. I'm getting to old to sit out in the wind and cold.

I've never sat in a shanty yet, what's it like, think I'm finally going to get one. I would definitely be bumming if I forgot my smokes or my Lowrance!  Only heat I get, is from drilling holes to warm up!  You guys do look comfortable in those things!  So hard to drag in a foot of snow!

I'd have to go with a skimmer.  There are many ways to cut holes, fish, stay warm, etc.  But not many ways to clean your holes without a skimmer.  (I know there are ways, but as a must have......)
