Mille Lacs
I could be wrong, but I think the super slab will be your
closest
best bet. Pout are fish of big lakes and deeper water; think leech, Winni, Cass, LOTW, and Mille Lacs.

Your best bet for big pout and numbers of them is LOTW.

The best spots Skipper mentioned but dont forget Pike Bay connected to Cass Lake.. lots of nice size pout there . Its got some 100 ft holes good pout habitat inthe summer. Its also got great perch fishing for during the day. Eelpout festival is fun on Leech but so many fisherman its tough to catch a big one or a lot.

Anyone know consistent spots on Leech? We're not looking to win the tourney, just take home a mess of them for frying. Plus they're fun! We're probably going to Norwegian fish find the whole time we're there. Not renting a permanent this year, too expensive, no way to go where the fish go after they leave.

Big problem with the tournament is that the good spots are where everyone is and pout are best fished with quiet and stealth..... right in front of the citypark/ boatramp on the drop off 20-30 FOW is a great spot for evening walleyes and pout.... "Ranger hump" due SE of the ramp about a mile is a midlake rock hump 29-35 FOW is also a good spot. Any rock hump near deep water should have pout and eye's
