most of my ice fishing will probably be at the cabin in WI
(plus I'm gonna try to sweet talk skipper into showing me some of his crappies...i'll bring the beer!)
You will need to sweet talk two fish Tommy too, I need permission from his in-laws I saw skim ice on most of the smaller metro lakes today.
I was looking at a Fish Trap Kenai today, it has an awesome price! It was only $169! I may have to pick one of them up. The seat is a joke, but I think I can easily strip the padding off and mount the spare seat out of my Voyager on it.
I am going to be looking for some sunfish on a little lake that stays out of the wind. I will probably take my old fish house, a DX-3000 shappell to save weight. It is 100lbs lighter than my Voyager, so when the ATV stays home I still use my shap. I was looking at a Fish Trap Kenai today, it has an awesome price! It was only $169! I can leave the auger home and use spud, and fish location is always easy to predict. That first trip to the lake is always the best, it is like Christmas morning for a kid.Do you guys have any plans yet?
You will need to sweet talk two fish Tommy too, I need permission from his in-laws to access my best crappie lake. The lakeshore is 100% privately owned and there are no places to sneak in on a public road easement. I have a couple other lakes too, but not nearly as many fish in them. You would be surprised how many large crappies can be caught in many lakes, you just gotta know where to drill. HINT: They are never under the shanty village, ever! I saw skim ice on most of the smaller metro lakes today.
