water temps

i am curious sold my boat five years ago to have funds for the baby bubbagills, so i have know idea.  what are some of the water temps yall are seeing on the lakes at this time, wandering how far the temps will have to fall to freeze up.  thanks for the input fellas. fish on

Water temps are still in the mid 40's up to 48 or so.  We need a couple weeks of daytime temps in the 30's with lows in the upper teens just to get the entire water column to 39 degrees.  At that point the lake will be ready to form ice as soon as the temps are below freezing with calm winds.  I would say we will be lucky to be fishing by Christmas this year and that will likely be channels and very small lakes.

out on the St Joe yesterday water temp was 48...But the Walleye were biting!

40* in ft wayne area waters yesterday.
