so long hardwater!!

well its been a good season. put away the gear today and dug out the 12fter and respooled my reels. still solid 3ft. of ice on the lakes around here . too bad it wasnt open till' mid april. see you all at myfishfinder!  jacksmelt out!

it was a great season.  i did the same today.  reg. the boat and got it out of the snow.  respooled the reels and got the tackle boxes out.  traps are drying but will go in the attic tomorrow.  bring on the open water

Very little snow left here and the ponds are mostly open. Too bad we didnt have some other fish beside yellow perch. The geese are flying over in great numbers today and the air is full their honking. Hauled the brush off the gardens and started spreeding the deer repellent. The lawn is turning greener every day and the frost is hanging on in the shady parts. It's time for everything to start over again.

Just got back from my last crappie fishing through the ice for this year!! about a dozen crappie for the banquet...what a year!! Ill put the gear up tomorrow
