Cain's Quest
« on: Mar 19, 2009, 05:13 PM »
The boys from Maine made us proud.  The 1st & 2nd place teams in this snowmobile endurance race are both from Maine.  Lessard and Hall I have known since they were little buggers.  Can't wait to buy them a beer and hear bout the race. ;D  kdcon

Don't believe that you have to " pre-qualify ".  They do make sure each team complies w/ the rules set down and have a NO exception policy.  Lessard & Hall have been planning, preparing for this race for more than a year.  Lot of work on that end.  Just being able to ride a sled fast is nowhere near enough to even finish this race.  You really have to have your act together in all aspects. Download the rules from Cain's Quest site.  It is certainly not about the $$ as you will spend alot just preparing and racing.  If I was 20 yrs. younger I would be doing this race for sure.  These 2 guys were born & raised fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, and working in the rugged Jackman area.  They have a 1st hand knowledge of woodcraft and "Maciver" fix anything w/ nothing ability/mindset.  Will be listening to the stories bout the race 1st. hand next weekend.   ;D ;D  kdcon
