In some places that aren't here.   :'(   :'(     :'(
She's a balmy -49C wind chill this morning in my frigid town.
For you guys south of the 49th parallel that's -56.2F   :o
Atleast it's supposed to start warming up on Sunday.
If you can call -17C warm.  ;D

 I don't know how you guys can stand to have winter for that long...don't get me wrong i love icefishin but even with icefishing and all the other stuff, winter gets old after awhile lol. We got ice til mid April and thats bad enough compared to you guys, ill get out this weekend after that the ice and snow can hurry the hell up and go away im ready for some heat and open water

I would like to be able to icefish from december till the end of march.. and then turn on the spring for my other passion....TURKEY TIME!!!..YAHOOO!!! these guy's where at the bottom of my drive way yesterday.....Bob..

nice pics hrdwtr24. i'm ready to go chase the long beards around  ;D:thumbsup: i can't wait :woot: beadhead and i got the fly rods out yesterday and had a blast we got around 20 trout a piece. :roflmao: :thumbsup: what a great day and alot more days to come :thumbsup:

Well I can honestly say I had a good year icefishing, but since the ice is gone, I'm looking for spring so I can get out in my boat for some of those nice trout. :D

what kind of minnesotian are you!!!  In wisconsin them thar are fightin words!!!  I'd rather have the red windburn tan than the crispy red tan of sitting on an open lake all day

Old Minnesotan here wishing we still had ice down here in Iowa  :( :( But on the bright side I have been in my boat twice fishing for walleyes in the rivers, and doing pretty well, until we received 2 inches of rain. lol some people have all the luck..lol Turkey time and mushroom hunting just around the corner can't wait :laugh: :laugh:

Was out on mil lacs yesterday durning the ice shanty gathering augers just about didt go throuh without a ext think we got a few more weeks of ice yet !

I'll answer that mushroom question Drifter....

Morels are quick but not so tough so 2 3/4" #8 shot is great!

King Bolets are big and slow but require a big load say.... 3 1/2" BB's or even slugs.

Shaggy Manes are aggressive and dangerous!  They need a high powered slug/00 buckshot alternate load.

Chantrelles a butterfly net and a Yani CD!   ;D

Yep, the only thing more dangerous than an angry 1000# Grizz is the Shaggy Mane Mushroom!!!!!    ;D

Already no ice. As usual, I didn't get out anywhere near as much as I would have liked to.  I am really wishing the ice was still here!!! I'm jealous of all you northerners!

LOL Drifter,  sometimes they move pretty darn fast so it help to use an automatic (semi) unload on those tasty morsels. size of gun doesn't matter ;D ;D the more you shoot the better the chances lol
