Ice King auger blade help
« on: Jan 28, 2009, 07:40 PM »
I have an old Ice King auger with a chipper blade, the blade is in need of a replacement, but I am having no luck finding one.  Anyone on here either know where I can get one, used or new...or what I have to do to get a Jiffy blade to work.  I have seen a lot of posts on here about the same problem but not one solution.  Someone on here has to have made a different blade work or found a source for a new one I would think?    PLEASE HELP!! ;D

Thanks for the reply...but it isn't really any help, that was a pretty vague answer.   I have already searched the internet for hours and hours with no luck, I was hoping maybe someone new of a specific place that might have one, and obviously I know you have to modify the jiffy blade to work, but I was trying to find out what it involved, and which blade specifically would work, do the holes line up, do you just need to shim it etc. etc.......Thanks

I believe it has a chipper blade like the jiffys have. It should be pretty simple to sharpen it yourself unless someone had been drilling in a rock pile with it.
It seems to go from zero to hero all some have to do is lie.

I know the holes don't line up and also the Ice King blade is flat where the Jiffy's is angled. I too have been looking if I find anything I will let you know. I would appreciated it if you would do the same.
