Jig Shape

 do you think the shape of a jig makes a difference or does it have more to do with the size and color.

Shape and size makes a huge difference to me in the respect of confidence. Shape and size come FIRST before color for me and most of the time it's a horizontal jig

I think color and size are the key factors

Shape is huge.  Some jigs will plane on the fall, wobble, or even flutter to an effect.  Size is to match the fish species you're targeting.  Color is to seal the deal.
