Need some help with my dvr

I have just received my DVR a couple of days ago and used it for the first time today.  My first question is that the picture that comes out is not very clear at all and i was wondering if any of you have any way of making it clearer.  Is the picture clearer on a computer than if you play it back on your aqua-vu camera?  My second question is if any one knows how to see the movies on a mac laptop?  I do have a dell PC but when I go on ice fishing trips I don't have it.  If you could help me out that would be great.  Thank You

check the frames per second settings.....should not be less than 30 fps....also check format settings....most are set to default 16:9 (wide)....set it to 4:3.....your playback blurriness may be the result of a widescreen format being played back on your standard format aqua vu monitor...check playback on the dvr monitor....and most importantly read the operating manual thoroughly.

I have read through the manuel and it didn't say anything about the fps or the ratio of the screen.  Could you tell me how to do this?  Thank You
