bummer on the rod, Good thing we got Bass pro and Cabala's close by.
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

I would love to hit the coho just once. Give me a pm when they come in. Finding a new place to fish has to be fun. Wife and boy like to go up over spring break (late March). Would consider earlier weekend if they are biting. Been to Michigan City before but would like to learn the warm water discharge areas.

Michigan city's still a little dirty!!  The port of Indiana has had a few brownies caught silver and blue frenzys and k/o or cleos none on bait yet. The Whites will be starting in city and St Joe if they have not already. State line gen is getting some action also!  I am with the croix guys but I prefer to build my own!!  I personally don't care for the big guys the info is no good!!!! I will stick with the little guys!!

YOU NEED TO GO TO THE STATELINE GENERATING STATION. YOU CAN THROW SPOONS BUT THERE ARE LITERALLY 10 TONS OF SHAD THAT YOU`LL SNAG. FISH SQUID, CRAWLER OR LARGE ROACHES UNDER A BOBBER ABOUT 4` DOWN AND HOLD ON TIGHT.

How do you get to the New Poratge Park on the Lake front, Do you go over the bridge to Midwest Steel, and make a left at guard gate ?

THAT`S THE WAY IT LOOKS ON GOOGLE MAPS. IT IS NOT A CURRENT VIEW BUT THAT SEEMS TO BE THE LOGICAL ROUTE.

I was over by there last night, and Yahoo actually shows the road-so just go over bridge towards Midwest and make a left a stop sign and then a right across the bridge if they got it open.lol

They did a real nice job with the new walk out pier in Portage. I was wondering how deep the water is where they built this. I thought it was shallow up in there, just out of the ditch. Just curious.
