They look better with the Leinie's in the picture.

Mount an 1888 Bock up there and you have post of the year material.... lol   ;)

I'm not in NY but.. the one on the left (if this pic posts) is 16.2 inches and 2 lbs, 7oz.  The others are over 15 and over 2 lbs each.

Mounts are really nice, who was the taxidermist if I may ask.

Are you sure your biggest 16.2 incher only weighed 2 lbs. 7 oz.? She should have weighed more.

My 16 1/4 inch perch weighed 2 lbs. 13 oz. and she wasn't nearly that packed with eggs.

I live in the midwest now but have fond memories of fishing in New England as a kid.

weel that perch would not be a new york state record which is at 3 lbs 2 ounces caught back in the 80's on lake erie by a gantelman that i personally know but regardless still a very nice perch
have ice will travel catch a big one

From what I have seen and read once they get to 16 inches they are in the top 1 percent of perch in most waters. Doesn't have to be a state record to be an awesome fish like you say. My perch would have shattered our state record by 5 oz. and the fact that they won't let me enter it doesn't bother me a bit. It's the best out of my family pond that I caught on hook and line and that all that counts to me. And she's in an ice fishing scene in a glass case and should be there as long as I live.

Nice fish UPperchpounder!

Thanks.  The thing about taxidermy is (i've dabbled in it) a truely good taxidermist takes the fish brought to them and makes it look as close as possible to the actual fish and not what people "think" that fish should look like.  Honestly, in the lake I get the big perch out of, that is really how they look.  I think they do great work...
