I'll be out off the bear lake channel By 8:00 am.  If I don't find fish there then I will be on the move till I find them.

Don't forget that the Muskegon Perch Derby is tomorrow. You SHOULD be able to get tickets at local bait shops.

Wish I could be there (took 2nd place last year in Perch Division), but I have a cold and will be hanging low down here in Ferndale.

Went out from the yacht as well caught a few decent fish until 11 moved 100 yards to 45-50 FOW and caught better fish and then around 2:30 the action picked up like last Saturday and finished with 70 real good fish and 10 or so that we kept because they wouldnt go back down the hole and I didnt fell like feeding the seagulls.   So between 2 of us we finished with a little more than 80 and threw back probably 40 plus more.   Was strange though, for an hour or so they would hit on minnows or wigglers and then nothing and w would change to red spikes or mousies and it would pick up so we would change bait whenever the bite came to a halt and it would pick back up.   We were more towards the paper mill, going out the walk wasnt too bad the walk back sucked but was worth it and was better than sitting in the office for 10 hours.

And my cousin gets to have a good perch dinner before he heads back to Irag on Tuesday so he was really happy.

Thinking about possibly going back on Sunday, let me know if anyone else is headed back out

Goblue that is the pattern i have had this year too. Every time I go more than 4 or 5 minutes without a hit, i switch baits. I try to keep both lines the same, because when something is working, i get a lot of doubles. Then when it shuts off, i switch. I have done well that way. I rotate wigglers, minnow heads, whole minnows (hooked so they still swim good), waxworms, and perch eyes. By the time one starts to suck, i rotate through. I keep in the fish the whole prime time from 10-2

Fish in the sink! Took 31 perch between 10 and dark. It was the best when I got there. Worked for all of them.  Kept perch between 9 - 11. Mid lake between 36 and 54. Travel will be a b***h by mid day tommarow. (In places) A quad without 4x4 will be tough.

Hey if everyone in Muskegon wants to head out Sunday, weather permitting I will be trying to get another mess at the Yacht Club. Last Wed. I hit my 50 in about 3 hours alone. We can all meet up and set up camp.

I went out of Shoreline yesterday on my quad.  Made up my mind that I was not keeping anything less than 8 inches.  I moved a lot, and fished anywhere from 30 to 50fow.  Must have caught 70 or 80 but ended up taking home 11 that were 8 or better.  Best one was 11 inches..threw back just a ton of 7s.........

Keep a posting on how the ice is holding up on the lake.  I plan to be over that way in a couple of weeks with my wife to see the in-laws and will be looking to get out on the ice.  Love the in-laws but its hard to spend the whole weekend sitting around the house.  Thanks for all the good posts soo far.
