Hey might be going out this way (Lake Winnipeg) tommorrow and just wondering on the accesss at chalet and warner and how the driving is out there right now with 4x4??

went out yesterday at chalet beach rd. and fished the main channel. few other trucks out there. fishing was best at first light until 11:00 and then it died off.

no problem getting a limit if you're out at first light. there were 4 trucks with us and everyone went home with fish, biggest one landed was just over 30".

were you at the mouth of the red or the salimonia channel.i've been skunked the last two times out.

fished yesteday about half mile out from CBR... at spot"X" . 2PM-dusk. One nice northern right off and lost a big head shaker at the hole. Not a nibble after that until 4:30-5:30 where I iced 3 nice wallies, 24 incher went back and a pair of nice 21-22 inch eaters. Did better than most around. Salties on eyedroppers, movement was the key... but very subtle .
