 Have to go into Portland to get my check then it will non stop to Newport.

 Saftey Scot. It is a well traveled road, if something were to happen in the middle of the night with out a cell phone, I'm sure someone will be right along. I also know people that live along there, also plenty lodging. But plans can change depending on the road!  ;)

Took out Venison Burger, Sausage and Steak this morning......Gonna make 2 pounds of Jerky....and 2 pounds of my special Burgers......and save the sausage for camp....and marinade the steak for fishing Saturday..... :P :thumbsup: :flex:

Once you get north of Bingham.....phone service is almost non-existent.  


    Just a suggestion, but taking 95 to Newport, then rt. 7 to Dover/Foxcroft, and rt. 15 for the rest of the way would be my first option, especially in a snowstorm. All are state maintained roads and the amount of traffic along those roads would be, in my opinoin, a better situation to be in should something happen.

In any event.....drive safe buddy and can't wait to see ya!!.... :tipup:

I think it was about 9" or so here at the camps. We had 7" by 8 pm last night and then the winds started to move things around. 

Still lots of snow that needs to be cleaned up here in town.  But I'm thankful we didn't get the 14"+ that was in the forecast.

I know venison jerky is good stuff.  My brother also makes a venison pepper stick that is to die for. 

I did hear that Rt. 15 is still pretty slick so do drive with caution on your way up.
