My daughters first day out on the ice this year. Pictures AND Video!!

Went to the Knox Country derby and fished on Alford Lake in Hope. As we all know it's a pretty slow lake and today it was for us. Between myself, Bigdadde66, his friend Brett and his other friend Henry and son... they only ended up with 4 flags and no fish. As for me, I didn't stay long and the length of time I stayed, I got skunked. But I did enjoy watching my daughter having fun on the ice. Sense she's older now and able to walk herself and enjoy the snow... she loved it!

I took some pictures of our wonderful day even though no fish, and I also added a video of Izabella (my daughter) and her newly made friend Trevor sledding down the tiny hill close by.

P.S - To maineduckhunter... your niece has been saying "Adam" all night long!

Really wish I could have been there.....looks like it was a great time.....We'll have to take her to a fast action lake in March so she can really learn how to fish.....

very cute  !! way to get her out there lacey . be careful she will get spoiled in that jet sled...my daughter like to use it for sledding but only when dad gives her a ride back up the hill on his snowmobile

No Auntie yet... she's just been saying Adam... too cute!

She loved the jet sled but she would have rather walked everyone! She didn't want to be carried and the only way she got into a sled is if she was forced then it started moving right away. But the best part of all was playing with the bait.

Definitely want to take her out more, she loves it for sure!!

I have a 3 1/2yr old that doesn't care to fish but you bring a bucket of shiners and it's better than TV.

I think yesterday was the first time in a long time that I didn't care about not catching a fish or getting a flag. I enjoyed more of spending time with my daughter out on the ice.

  Wicked cute.....You guys should try the Mill Pond in Appleton  a lot of action, good access, fish the middle , biggest derby pickerel used to come from there.

I just might have to do that, thanks for the info.  I think I might wait to take her out when it warms up. She ended up playing in the bait bucket too much she got her gloves wet and ended up with no gloves. The wind was blowing and I was afraid of her getting frost biten, so I ended up taken her home for a well needed nap.
