if you could only bring one lure on the ice for walleye what would it have to be??? i like kastmasters, but i dont have much luck, kind of looking for some pointers here

I'd have to go with a Northland Buckshot rattlespoon. Always have good luck with those. Either the gold color or the green-glow ones.

the buckshot spoon it is (with a dropper)..... for me I chose it because not only is it a good walleye bait, but it it multi species

Plain Jane 3/8 oz Gold Jig head tipped with whatever kind of minnow is available. Over the last 10 years, that has consistently caught me more walleye,(and pike and burbs) than any other jig.

I couldn't just bring one lure...but I always start with one of three lures: the Ratl'n Flyer spoon, Daredevil spoon, or Buckshot rattlespoon.  If using live bait, one of three jigs: Forage minnow jig, Demon jig, eye dropper jig.
If using plastics, one of three lures: Foxee jig, powerbait tube, Gulp alive minnow
