Slow Bite Yesterday

Fished from noon 'till 6:30. The first time I dropped my jig down the hole I hooked a huge crappie. I got him up to the hole & he came off as I tried to grab him. Probably the biggest fish of the day. The gills were real slow & I caught a lot of dink perch, nothing big enough to keep. I also caught two bullheads that came back to back & when I took a pic I tossed them back. I ended up keeping 12 good sized gills & a 14 in crappie. The gills & crappie are on the menu for tonight. I would take that day of slow fishing over my days up here.  a good day for me is catching about 20 dink bluegills and being able to keep 5 over 7 inches.  send some of those bigger ones up my way.
