Rip City rods

Anyone here have one of these or dealt with their customer service yet??  I just bought one of these and am not that impressed so far. 


edit: I see they are made by Nature Vision  >:(

i just baught one also but have not used it.  i baught it for my girlfriend who just went ice fishing last week with me for the first time and is hooked so i thought i would by her a cheapy for 22$.  it is the shortest rod we have so it fits in the shanty better.

There customer service is ridiculous.

IMO, go with a St. Croix rod, and a Tica or Plfueger reel. You'll thank me later.. trust me.  ;)

I bought a Dead Stick rod. Had a Rod Sock on it, never used it as it broke during transport to the lake even though it was in a protective case. I have not had the time to see if they will cover it under warranty yet.

I looked at the tags again the other day and no where on it do they mention they are made by Nature Vision.  If I had known I wouldnt have bought it.  Ive been fond of my older Frabill rods but as my kids get a little older Ive tried a couple different ones to pass on to them.
