First Ice Trip of 09'

Went out on the ice for the first time this year on saturday with one of my buddies. We started off using tip ups and some jigging holes at our first stop in the morning and only got one small pickerel on the tipup within the first 10 minutes we were there. After fishing for four more hours at multiple spots we couldnt find anything....not even a sunny which was weird. We decided to make a move to a small lake pretty close by and it was a good decision. We caught a good amount of perch and fliers(the ----ty kind of sunfish) and one small bass. We only had a couple perch that would be worth keeping and the rest were just not quite big enough. Alot of action and all on jiggin rods; the way I like it. Didnt even put out one tipup at the new spot. Here is a short video I made of the trip....hope you guys like it. Thanks webguy.....you do any good yet on hopatcong.....thinkin of going saturday but lets see if theres any safe ice by then. Also nice videos on the KDC site

Yea not a bad trip...better than getting skunked. Hoping to get some bigger fish this weekend up at Swartswood...maybe a couple nice walleyes.

pretty good quality video. I pulled a pike through last week on a jig pole. pretty small 19 inches or so, but preeeetty fun with a jig pole
