Nice idea, word of caution; when those plastic tubs get real cold they have a habit of shattering if they get hit too hard or dropped.

Should work great as long as you do not bang it or set anything on top. Its not going to protect them, but it will keep them dry and tangle free. It will shatter if you bang it. Been there, done that.

Use to live in No Dak land. Been out in a uninsulated Yukon in -25, 20 mph wind with 24" + of ice. Picked up the fish off the ice and dropping them into a Rubbermaid plastic tub and had the side blow out like it was made of egg shell. I suspect that with the mild winters that we are having you shouldn't experience my problem.

Looks nice. The Rubbermaid tubs are a bit more durable. I broke one of those last night in the garage.

One problem is that I do not think the tougher bins can be had that shallow.

Good Luck.

Clam Yukon.  Any thoughts on what to do with the extra space?

Keep your stick on the ice we are all in this together.
