For bluegill and perch, I think Cranberry is a waste of time.
Fished that lake several times last winter and other than
tapping into a nice school late one afternoon/early evening,
felt most days were a success if I would get a single nibble.
Not bad for crappie after dark, but the past couple of
years have been really slow for bluegill and perch. I
think guys do ok in the summer, so maybe first ice will
be ok, but like I said, the past couple of years have
really seemed to be slow on that lake.
My brother lives near that lake, so I am sure I will waste
more time out there this winter, but really think it is time
for me to find a new lake.
Just waiting for the ice - good luck this winter!
